UIC Medical Center
Interactive Crisis Training Facility
Private Employee Training
The University of Illinois Chicago will be using a true-to-scale virtual version of their medical center to train employees what to do, and how to behave during a crisis. Using photography and floor plans of the real facility, we are in the process of building and texturing a virtual version that immerses the trainees in a life-like setting. Virtual training has been used for years in the airline industry and now with the aid of virtual worlds like Second Life, they can be useful for any number of subject specific learning environments.
This project is currently under construction on UIC's private island. |

Private Presentations and Public Awareness
The Spirit Rail Technologies Team of Tucson, Arizona, has been a long time client of Sturm Design and it was only natural for us to provide them with the 3D virtual versions of their light rail patents available for private presentations to railroad engineering firms as well as creating public awareness of this awesome new technology by providing links to their website with 3D animations and feasibility studies. |

Private Client Demonstration
Carrie has been providing high-quality interior finishes and murals for over 10 years. In this example, she used a true-to-scale model of her client's powder room to help them visualize her concept drawings of ancient roman paintings for the walls. The client was amazed as they could participate in the visualization process normally reserved to an artist. The result? The concept was approved and Carrie is currently working on the next stage of the project. |
